Where to go? Local.

I’m planning to see a few places around [tag]Tasmania[/tag] in the next year, some plans are coming up very soon at Christmas time actually. So thats only, what? Six weeks away. I hope you all have [tag]Google Earth[/tag] installed because I’m going to use it to make thelostglobe a bit more interactive. So if you don’t install it now because your missing out.

Here is a KML of the places I am planning to go to, some for the first time others not. At Christmas we are heading up to Strahan a couple of days early to do the West Coast Wilderness Railway formerly know as the Abt (and much less effort to type) and the Gordon River Cruise. After New Years we will probably head up to Wineglass Bay on the east coast. Later, next year sometime I’m planning to do the Overland Track from Cradle Mountain.

Also here is a link for the Pure Tasmania [tag]website[/tag], the official [tag]tourism[/tag] site for tasmania, personally I think they ripped the “Pure” off from New Zealand. The site looks great but it can be frustrating, it also includes all the things I’ve just mentioned as they are the biggest drawcards to the state.

We’ll start actually booking things probably tonight, after Strahan we are staying at my sisters for a night or two and then heading home for a short break. We have to book our dog into a kennel because he can’t come into some parks and we can’t really leave him anywhere in the area while we go off and do stuff. Also need to to get a tent or cheap accommodation and book the [tag]Cruise[/tag] and Railway tickets and they don’t come cheap depending on what type we get.
