10 Kilos of Cash: September Update
9.8Kg, so close. As soon as I hit 10Kg I’ll count it. I received my $100 cheque from Emailcash but I still haven’t cashed it, I hate cheques. This month also marks 1 year from the planned departure of Earth Bound, all things going well. I’m fairly well on track with the money for that, although I have a bit on my “to buy” list at the moment. I scratched new running shoes off that this weekend but there is still jeans, walking pants, headlamp and other bits to buy. I think my gym membership ends this week too so that will be another $33 a month in my pocket and I’m running more often than I ever went to the gym anyway (Thanks Nike+).

Congrats on your savings progress! Are you sure about bringing jeans? They’re about the heaviest pair of pants you could bring, unnecessary in hot weather, and take a really long time to dry.
I bought my headlamp yesterday - a Petzl Zipka - very cool. Much better than the flashlight I’d been using till now!
Thanks Dave, nice to see you on FB too.
The jeans are just for between now and then, my current ones are fading into white and fraying at the bottom like some kind of yuppie teens. I am stuck on pants for travel, most seem so thin and not likely to keep the wind out in colder climates, I was thinking army type pants but then I was surprised to find they are mostly cotton.
so how much is .2 kilos of cash?
Good luck in your continued quest. I’ll be checking back to see how your doing!
